Money & Earnings Disclosure

1. No Guaranteed Income

Publishing work on The Tiniest Library does not guarantee income, readership, or financial success.

Earnings, if any, depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to:

  • Reader interest and engagement

  • Story visibility and promotion

  • The availability and use of monetization features

  • Overall platform activity

Authors should participate with the understanding that TTL is a publishing and discovery platform, not an employer or income guarantor.

4. Minimum Payout Thresholds

To reduce administrative and processing costs, The Tiniest Library may require authors to reach a minimum earnings threshold before payouts are issued.

Typical thresholds may include:

  • A minimum balance (e.g., $25–$50 USD)

  • Valid payment information on file

  • Completion of required tax or identity documentation (where applicable)

Balances below the threshold will roll over to the next payout period.

2. Revenue Is Subject to Platform Rules

The Tiniest Library may offer monetization features such as:

  • Advertising-supported content

  • Reader tips or digital credits

  • Paid or premium story access (where available)

All monetization features are governed by platform rules, policies, and technical limitations, which may evolve over time.

TTL reserves the right to:

  • Introduce, modify, or discontinue monetization features

  • Adjust revenue-sharing models with advance notice

  • Enforce content, quality, and community standards as a condition of participation

Authors always retain ownership of their work, as outlined in the Author Submission Agreement.

5. Taxes & Author Responsibility

Authors are solely responsible for:

  • Reporting income earned through TTL

  • Paying any applicable local, state, or federal taxes

For U.S.-based authors, TTL may issue required tax forms (such as a 1099-NEC) when earnings meet reporting thresholds set by law.

TTL does not provide tax or legal advice.

3. Payout Timing

When monetization features that generate author earnings are active, payouts are handled on a periodic basis, typically monthly.

Key points:

  • Earnings are calculated after platform fees and applicable deductions

  • Payouts may occur 30–60 days after the end of an earning period

  • Delays may occur due to payment processing, verification, or compliance requirements

TTL is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors.

6. Transparency & Updates

The Tiniest Library is committed to transparency and will make reasonable efforts to:

  • Clearly communicate monetization changes

  • Update this disclosure as features evolve

  • Notify authors of material changes affecting earnings

Continued participation on the platform constitutes acceptance of the most current version of this disclosure.
